About Our Preschool
Rainbow Bridge Preschool opened September 4, 2006. We are
located in the bottoms of Arcata at 1920 Zehndner Ave. Our phone
number is 707-825-7447. Rainbow Bridge Preschool is a private
preschool run by Anne-Marie Hollis and Shelley Ruhl. Rainbow
Bridge Preschool encourages and protects a child's sense of wonder
and gratitude by nourishing the imagination and providing a warmth-filled
place to work, play, and create. Licence number 123006530
Our Backgrounds:
Anne-Marie Hollis, Director
Anne-Marie has a bachelor's in Child development from Humboldt
State University. Anne-Marie started working in preschool in 1997
as a substitute at Discovery Preschool in Davis, CA. Anne-Marie
worked in preschool as the classroom teacher all six years through
college and earned her degree in 2002. Currently Anne-Marie is in
process of receiving her Master's in the field of Special Education.
Anne-marie is also a mother of two children, Ellyana age 7 and
Madeline age 9.
Amy Wythe, Head Teacher, Thimbleberry Classroom
Amy has been working with children for over 20 years. Her
experience ranges from center based to home child care. Amy brings a
compassionate, and consistent energy to the classroom.
Juli Bennet, Teacher, Thimbleberry Classroom
Juli brings a loving energy to the classroom. Juli has experience for
many years in the preschool environment. The children enjoy art and
stories throughout the day with Juli.
Becky Greta, Teacher, Thimbleberry Classroom
Becky comes to us from HSU. She is working on her degree in
Special Education, and loves the preschoolers. Becky is connected
to the children and provides a fun energy to the classroom.
Shelley Ruhl, Stepping Stones Teacher
Shelley has completed her 12 units in child development and was the
teacher at Redwood Creek Preschool and has made a self study of
Waldorf methods for the past six years. Shelley has also worked in
the elementary after school programs. Shelley is a mother of one,
Kalani age 5 years.
Mike Hadley, Stepping Stones Teacher
Mike is a joy to have in the classroom environment. The children look
up to and respect Teacher Mike. Mike has completed a bachelors
from HSU and has completed 12 units in ECE.
Rainbow Bridge is very fortunate to have our teachers. Each teacher
has a different, unique personality which helps to make Rainbow
Bridge a preschool that can easily accommodate all the children's
personalities. The love and compassion the teacher's express to the
children is amazing.
